Location

Located in the heart of the Back Bay of Boston on fashionable Newbury Street. The Newbury Guest House offers a very unique lodging experience. Take a page out of history and step back in time as you walk in a neighborhood that has not changed much since the 1800's. Newbury Street bustles with outdoor cafes, art galleries, designer boutiques, quaint coffee shoppes, and an excellent array of pubs and restaurants that are sure to satisfy every taste. The Guest House is also centrally located to Boston's major Universities, Colleges, hospitals, and businesses which make our location the place to stay whether for business or pleasure.

Out and About
  • Located on the most desirable street in Boston, Newbury Street is widely known for café's, art, shopping, pubs, restaurants, galleries, and people watching, as well as the Victorian style mansions along the way. Newbury Street stretches from the Boston Public Garden, which is widely known for it's Swan Boats and meticulous landscaping, up to Massachusetts Avenue. Along the way, you are sure to find an array of activities and events to fill your day. Whether you take in the sights and sounds of Newbury Street, stroll the Commonwealth Avenue Mall with it's many statues and memorials, tour the historic Boston Public Library, or take a walk along the Charles River which is also home to the Esplanade and the Hatch Shell, our neighborhood has something of interest for everyone.

Transportation
  • The Guest House in conveniently located to public transportation, which we affectionately call the "T". Halfway between the Copley and Hynes / ICA subway stations which are located on the Green Line. The Guest House is also a short distance to the Back Bay Station, the Orange Line, which houses the Back Bay subway station as well as AMTRAK and commuter rail access to points south and west. Another form of getting around the Back Bay, and take in a tour at the same time, is the famous Duck Tours of Boston. This guided tour is a land and sea venture that will take you around much of the City of Boston, as well as enter the Charles River for a water view perspective.
