Is it really a historic boston hotel?

Absolutely. The Harborside Inn is nothing like an anonymous chain hotel. You'll be staying in a renovated mercantile building, built in 1858 of locally-quarried granite. Designed by Gridley Bryant, famous architect of the Boston city jail and Rowes Wharf, the building was originally used as a warehouse for ship merchants delivering goods to Boston.

Is there parking at the hotel?

You may park your car at the nearby 75 State Street Parking garage at discounted rates.

How do I get to and from the hotel and Boston's Logan Airport?

No other Boston hotel is closer to the Callahan/Sumner Tunnel, which takes you under Boston Harbor and puts you right on the airport's access road. It's a short taxi ride, which we can help arrange for you. The subway station (Blue Line, Aquarium stop) on our block is just two quick stops from the Boston airport.

How large is the hotel?

Eight stories high, the hotel has 98 rooms, with no two rooms exactly alike. Rooms either face the interior sky-lit atrium or the streets of historic downtown Boston.

Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?

Yes, and we offer handicapped-accessible rooms.

Does the hotel have waterfront views?

We do not have direct water views. We are across the street from the Boston Harbor, and our City View rooms face either State Street or Central Street in downtown Boston.

We offer both dry-cleaning and laundry services for our guests. Each closet has a bag for your dry-cleaning, which should be brought down to the front desk. Please make arrangements at the front desk.
